## 1. The yantra drawing

| Grok's version | Now |
|---|---|
| A generic, hand-typed Sri Yantra: 9 guessed triangles, unrelated to 004 | Drawn from **HRIDAYA-GTC-004-LOOM-MASTER.svg**. Petal fills, petal outlines and yantra colour fields are the master's own paths, simplified to 0.25 mm. The 2 gold circles (r 596.6 and 482.7 mm) and the 9 triangle lines are redrawn as exact 7 mm strokes from the master's measured geometry in KH-004-LOOM-NOTES.md. **Check:** rendered at 1024 px and compared with KH-004-FACE-2048.png, only 0.023% of pixels inside the round differ by more than 40/255 (mean difference 1.0/255). |
| A square with four gates (bhupura) drawn in | Removed from the drawing, because the 004 loom master has **no square and no gates**. The page says so. |
| Gold `#d4af37`/`#ffd700`, cream strokes, a white bindu, a purple radial glow | Only the master's 10 yarn colours (hex values from its `<metadata>`). The one addition is a small light-gold bindu point with a faint halo, which the page labels as a page marker. |
| Empty layer groups (the "14/10/10/8 triangle" groups held no shapes) | Every layer is real 004 geometry. |
| Collapse: each layer scales to 0 and fades, 420 ms apart; click anywhere to replay; no way to step back out | **Kept the core idea and rebuilt it.** On load, the carpet withdraws inward in 10 steps: 16 outer petals, the outer gold circle, 8 inner petals, the yantra circle, the yantra's colours, then the 9 triangles in 4 steps (each line pulls back symmetrically into its apex), then the innermost triangle contracts into the bindu. At the same time the view zooms gently toward the bindu. The buttons are **Pause/Continue/Replay**, **Step out** and **Step in**, so you can move back out or in one layer at a time. A live caption (aria-live) names what remains, e.g. "Inward · Seven triangles". |
| Pulsing "watch it return to the point" hint that loops forever; no reduced-motion handling | No looping animation. With **prefers-reduced-motion**, nothing plays by itself: there is no zoom or line animation, the steps change instantly, and the bindu is drawn larger. The animation stops the moment a button is pressed, and it can be paused. |
| Body text 16.8 px, muted grey on black | Body text 20 px on desktop and 19 px on mobile. **The smallest text anywhere is 18 px** (measured). Ivory `#F1E9DB` on `#0B0E1A` gives 16:1 contrast, the secondary text 11.6:1, headings (`#DDBF94`) 10.9:1 and gold labels (`#C19C70`) 7.6:1. Native buttons at least 48 px tall with a visible focus ring, a skip link, and an SVG `title`/`desc`. There is also print CSS. |
| Georgia (system font) | Cormorant Garamond (display) and Newsreader (text), both SIL OFL 1.1, subsetted and embedded as base64 woff2. No font requests. |

**Bindu placement (founder input needed):** the 004 loom master does not weave the bindu as a separate dot. The carpet's centre falls inside the innermost cell, a burnt-orange downward triangle bounded by the sides of triangle D1 and the top line of D5. The page marks the bindu with a gold point at that triangle's incentre (750, 763.8 mm), which is 13.8 mm below the exact centre of the carpet. The page states: "The bindu is not woven as a dot. On this page a small gold point marks it, inside the innermost triangle."

## 2. Claims removed or changed

### Archive and provenance claims
- Meta description: "The living record — stored on the Internet Archive and Filecoin." → **removed**. The new description says the carpet is "Waiting for its master".
- Footer: "Mirrored on the Internet Archive" → **removed**. The record now has the slot "Internet Archive item: *To be filed*".
- Footer: "CID: pending · Filecoin · no token" → **"CID: *To be filed*"**.
- Footer link "← Back to 004" (khardhridaya.com/carpet/004) → **removed**. This is a standalone archive record.
- "Order placed." → **removed**. 004 has no order.
- "Design locked: the twelve-petal green Anahata at the heart…" → **removed**. This was carpet 001's provenance. 004 has 16 and 8 petals and no Anahata.
- "The artisan's hand is not yet named — when it is, the name and the loom film live here." → **"Weaver: To be named when the loom starts"**. The loom film promise is removed.
- "Fifty percent advance sent to The Carpetra." → **removed**. That was 001's. For 004 there is no advance, workshop or weaver.
- "No dollar figures, no bank details on this public record. The carpet is the receipt; the record is the memory." → **removed**. The page has no prices and no dollar figures at all.
- "Today · 004 … Mulberry silk … one point five meters across" (and "woven in one hundred fifty knots…", which treats the carpet as already made) → the carpet facts now sit in a record list. **Status: Waiting for its master.**

### Claims about power, health, blessings or meaning
- "This carpet is not a picture of the yantra. It is the yantra…" → **removed**, because it implies consecration.
- "the single point from which all creation is said to unfold" → replaced by the sourced line "She [Tripurasundari] is worshipped in the bindu", plus the Shakta reading from Britannica.
- "Read inward, the diagram is the journey home… a seat you can rest on, a map you can live inside." → **removed**. It is replaced by the sourced line "Read from the square inward, the figure is called the way of enfoldment; read from the bindu outward, the way of unfoldment" (Ramachandra Rao).
- "Each one a stage of the cosmos, and a stage of the self." → **removed** (unsourced).
- The avarana names with their promises were **all removed**: Trailokya Mohana "Enchanter of the three worlds… threshold of ordinary life"; Sarvasha Paripuraka "Fulfiller of all desires"; Sarva Sankshobhana "Agitator of all… the eight Ananga shaktis"; Sarva Saubhagyadayaka "Giver of all good fortune"; Sarvartha Sadhaka "Accomplisher of all aims"; Sarva Rakshakara "Protector of all"; **Sarva Rogahara "Remover of all disease"**; Sarva Siddhiprada "Bestower of all powers"; Bindu "The seat of the Goddess. Everything returns here." They are replaced by the **neutral structure only**: a square with four gates (*bhūpura*), sixteen petals, eight petals (*aṣṭa-dala-padma*), fourteen triangles (*catur-daśāra*), ten triangles in an outer ring (*bahir-daśāra*), ten in an inner ring (*antar-daśāra*), eight triangles (*aṣṭa-koṇa*), one triangle pointing down, the bindu. The Sanskrit words are shape names only.
- Grok's enclosure 8, "the central triangles — four up, five down", was **wrong**. The eighth enclosure is the single central triangle. Fixed.
- "Not a token. Not a medical device. A seat. A map. A point to return to." → kept as **"Not a token. Not a medical device."** only.
- The page has no golden-ratio, frequency, nervous-system, breathing, meditation-benefit, consecration, vastu, temple-approval or wealth claims. Automated word scan of the final text: clean.

### Doubtful history
- "c. 800–500 BCE · The Shulba Sutras… already encode the mathematics of intersecting triangles" → **cut** (unsourced; the research says to give no Vedic dates).
- "c. 8th century CE · The Saundarya Lahari, attributed to Adi Shankara, devotes its first forty-one verses to the Sri Yantra. The earliest detailed written description." → **cut** (the first-41-verses claim is not verified; the Sri Chakra count is in verse 11; "earliest description" is contradicted by the dating research). It is replaced by: "The Saundarya Lahari, a hymn **attributed to** Adi Shankara, counts its parts in a single verse: four triangles of Shiva, five of Shakti, eight petals and sixteen, three circles, three lines." (v.11, verified).
- "c. 10th–11th century · The Yogini Hridaya Tantra gives the full construction instructions. The yantra, the mantra, and the Goddess are declared three forms of one reality." → **cut**. It is replaced by the sourced dating: nine-level form written down by about the 11th century (roughly a thousand years ago); the oldest surviving text, the Vamakeshvarimata, lays it out before the name Śrīcakra appears; its layout has stayed essentially the same (Golovkova).
- "Medieval · Sri Yantras carved into the Sringeri Sharada Peetham, the Shankaracharya Temple at Srinagar, and temples across Tamil Nadu and Kerala." → **cut**. It is replaced by: "**Sringeri tradition says** Adi Shankara carved a Sri Chakra into a rock there, and that the goddess Sharada's sandalwood image was set above it."
- "A four-hundred-foot yantra etched into a dry lakebed near Ajmer, visible only from the air." → **cut**.
- "Four upward triangles for Shiva, five downward for Shakti, forty-three small triangles where they meet" → kept as the **classical** count and framed as the Shakta reading. It is **no longer claimed for 004**: in 004's own proportions the lines make 78 fields (66 coloured, 12 navy), and the page says so.
- **Added:** "We know of no older tradition of Sri Yantra carpets… Carpet 004 is a new rendering, in silk."

### Colours
- "Navy, gold, jewel colors" → the page now lists only the 10 yarns in the loom master (Deep Navy, Antique Gold, Crimson Red, Violet, Burnt Orange, Teal, Royal Blue, Periwinkle, Olive Green, Saffron Yellow) and gives none of them a meaning.

### Added (required by the brief)
- Record list: Khard Hridaya Carpet 004 · Sri Yantra (working name) · 1.5 m round · hand-knotted mulberry silk · 150 knots per square inch, about 410,900 in all (from the loom notes) · origin "India, Nepal" · Status: Waiting for its master · Weaver: To be named when the loom starts · Internet Archive item: To be filed · CID: To be filed.
- "How to sit with this carpet": "Om Aim Hrim Shrim Tripurasundaryai Namah, 100 times while the gaze rests on the bindu." It is a practice only, with no benefit stated.
- "Not a token. Not a medical device."
- Footer: "Khard Hridaya Inc · Toronto" · "Record prepared 27 September 2026".
- A short Sources list on the page.

## 4. Left out because not verified
- "The first forty-one verses" of the Saundarya Lahari (cut).
- Shulba Sutras "encoding" the yantra; any Vedic or prehistoric date (cut).
- Carvings at the Shankaracharya Temple, Srinagar, and at temples across Tamil Nadu and Kerala (cut; no source).
- A 400-foot lakebed yantra "near Ajmer" (cut).
- The Yoginihridaya "full construction instructions" and "three forms of one reality" (cut).
- Translations of the avarana names, Ananga shaktis, and yoginis (cut; neutral structure only).

## 5. Needs the founder
1. **Approve the page** before anything is uploaded to the Internet Archive or Filecoin.
2. **Name:** the loom notes say "Sri Yantra" is a *working name* not yet confirmed. The page shows "Sri Yantra (working name)" in the record.
3. **Bindu:** the carpet has no woven bindu dot. Keep it that way (the page says so), or add one to the loom master?
4. **Differences from the classical figure, which follow his design:** no square or gates, 2 circles instead of 3, and his own triangle proportions (78 fields instead of 43 triangles). The page states each of these plainly. Please confirm he is happy for the record to say so.
5. **Loom master description:** the SVG `<desc>` says "11-colour flat palette", but its metadata and the notes list 10 colours. The page says ten. The loom master's `<desc>` should be corrected.
6. **Slots to fill later:** Internet Archive item, CID, weaver, and status.

## 6. Build notes
- Build scripts, font subsets and a copy of the Ramachandra Rao scan text are in `/workspace/kh-004-record-build/` (not part of the record). Run `build_svg.py` then `build.py`; screenshots come from `shoot.mjs`.
- `window.KH004.set(n)` in the page jumps to step n (0–10). It exists for testing and screenshots and changes nothing else.
- Screenshots are in `shots/`: `004-{desktop,mobile}-{1-start,2-mid-collapse,3-bindu,4-full-page}.png` at 1280 and 390 wide, plus two `check-reduced-motion-*` shots.
