Record page: `009-tiger.html`. Prepared 27 September 2026 (PT). Nothing has been uploaded, published or filed.

## 1. Every claim on the page, with where it comes from

| Claim on the page | Source | How it was checked |
|---|---|---|
| Why line, "What it is", "Why it is a masterpiece", "The geometry", the mantra lines, "The sit", "The sequence", "Pain is information…" | The founder's text, `FOUNDER-TEXT-2026-09-27.md` (sent 27 Sep 2026, 5:17 PM PT) | Used close to word for word. The phrases that did not match the drawing were rewritten; each change is in `CHANGES.md` |
| A full-front face, eyes open; orange, cream and black stripes; a red stripe down the nose; white muzzle; pink nose; cream whiskers; dark clouds with gold and cream flames on a crimson field; a thin dark rim | Loom master `HRIDAYA-GTC-009-LOOM-MASTER.svg` (checked on the 6000 px render, by eye and with a mask for each yarn) | **Face:** Tiger Amber, Rust Orange, Temple Gold, Ivory Tan and Cream White, with Ink Black and Charcoal Cloud stripes. **Nose stripe:** a Flame Red band from forehead to nose. **Muzzle and chin:** Cream White. **Nose:** Nose Pink. **Whiskers:** Cream White (the notes say they were "locked to Cream White"), not gold. **Eyes:** amber iris, black pupil and a small light catchlight. **Clouds:** Charcoal Cloud and Smoke Grey with Temple Gold edges, round the head and lower sides. **Flames:** Temple Gold, Cream White and Ivory Tan ribbons flowing below and beside the face. **Field:** Tiger Crimson. **Rim:** Rim Crimson `#5C0A12`, r 742–750.5 mm. There is no deep black field |
| "The stripes radiate outward from the center" (kept) | Loom master | The forehead stripes fan out from the red centre stripe, and the cheek stripes sweep out to the sides, so the phrase is broadly true of the drawing |
| Fourteen silk colours, with names | `KH-009-LOOM-NOTES.md`, which matches the SVG `<metadata>` | Read by the build script |
| 1.5 m round, about 410,900 knots | `KH-009-LOOM-NOTES.md` | |
| Status: "Waiting for its master. The drawing awaits the founder's final look." | As instructed. The notes say the founder picked design A on 25 Sep 2026 | |
| Ram is the traditional seed syllable of fire, at Manipura, and not Khard Hridaya's own | *Sat-Cakra-Nirupana*, verse 19 with commentary, in Avalon, *The Serpent Power* | See section 2 |
| The tiger is India's national animal | Government of India, Ministry of Environment and Forests, Notification No. F.25-1/2008-WL-1, 30 May 2011, re-notifying the tiger as the national animal, as forwarded by the Government of Puducherry (memo No. 24342/CS(Agri)/2011/A4, 27 June 2011): https://py.gov.in/sites/default/files/policere-notificationdeclaringtigera.pdf | PDF downloaded and read on 27 Sep 2026. The subject line reads "Re-notification of Tiger and Peacock as the National Animal and National Bird respectively by the Government of India" |

| Shiva is often shown wearing or sitting on a tiger hide, often in meditation, in his Himalayan home on Mount Kailash | Britannica, "Shiva": "Shiva is also often depicted wearing or sitting upon a tiger hide and often perched in meditation in his Himalayan home on Mount Kailash" | Read on 27 Sep 2026 |

## 2. The Ram citation in detail

- **Text:** Purnananda, *Sat-Cakra-Nirupana* (1577), in Arthur Avalon, *The Serpent Power* (1919).
- **Verse 19** (Manipura): "Above it, and at the root of the navel, is the shining Lotus of ten petals, of the colour of heavy-laden rain-clouds. Within it are the letters Da to Pha, of the colour of the blue lotus with the Nada and Bindu above them. Meditate there on the region of Fire, triangular in form and shining like the rising sun. Outside it are three Svastika marks, and within, the Bija of Vahni himself."
  - Footnote to "the Bija of Vahni himself": "That is, 'Ram,' the Seed-mantra of Fire."
  - Commentary: "The Manipura Chakra is described in this and the two following verses … In this region of Fire is Ram, the Bija of Fire."
- **Summary of verses 19 to 21:** "Within the triangle is the Bija of Fire—'Ram'. He (Bija of Fire) is red in colour and is seated on a ram…"
- **Where I checked it**, in the same archive.org editions as for 003 and 006:
  1. The later Ganesh & Co. edition, `dli.ministry.26996`. It has the heading "VERSE 19", the wording above, and spells the syllable "Ram". https://archive.org/details/dli.ministry.26996
  2. The second revised edition, Madras: Ganesh & Co., 1924, `in.ernet.dli.2015.283748`. It has the same verse 19 wording, and its summary spells the syllable "Rang". https://archive.org/details/in.ernet.dli.2015.283748
- **Caveat:** the 1919 first edition is not online.

## 3. Tiger numbers: what survived

Every number used was checked against its source on 27 Sep 2026, and each is worded with "about" on the page.

| Number on the page | Source | Status |
|---|---|---|
| About **100,000** wild tigers at the beginning of the 20th century, "by WWF's estimate" | WWF-UK, "Tiger": "the tiger population was previously around 100,000 tigers at the beginning of the 20th century". WWF's tigers.panda.org says "roughly 100,000 at the start of the 1900s" (seen in search; the page itself would not load) | **Used** |
| About **5,574** in 2023 | Global Tiger Forum press release, 29 July 2023 (PDF read): the table total is "5574" as of July 2023 | **Used** |
| About **5,711** in 2025 | WWF-UK, "Tiger": "Though Tiger numbers are now on the rise at 5,711 in 2025" (page read) | **Used** |
| A drop of around **95 percent** | WWF-UK, "Tiger": "Wild tiger numbers dropped by around 95% since the beginning of the 20th century" | **Used** |
| India about **3,682**, the Government of India's estimate for 2022 | PIB (Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change), "All India Tiger Estimation-2022: Release of the detailed Report", 29 July 2023 (page read): "the average number is 3682 tigers" (upper limit 3,925). The same figure is in the GTF table | **Used** |
| "About two-thirds of the Global Tiger Forum's total" | Arithmetic: 3,682 ÷ 5,574 = 66% | **Used**. The founder's "nearly two-thirds" matches. The PIB itself says "more than 70%", on a different base; I kept to the transparent ratio |
| "Today about 5,500 to 5,700" | His summary of the two figures above | Not used as a range; the two sourced figures are given instead |

## 4. Left out
- **Tibetan tiger rugs used as seats.** No museum page could be opened to verify this: the Met's "Rugs and Ritual in Tibetan Buddhism" (2010) pages were blocked from the box, and the Wayback copies failed. Only auction and blog pages were reachable, so the line was left out.
- Any date for tiger symbolism, and the IUCN Red List estimate (a different method and base).
- Anything from the floor photo. The page art is drawn only from the loom master.
