# KH-008 Big Bang — LOOM NOTES (REDRAW v2)

**SKU:** HRIDAYA-GTC-008 / Masterpiece 008 Big Bang
**OpCo:** Khard Hridaya Inc · Toronto
**Built:** 2026-09-25 PT

> **This is a REDRAW, not a trace of the live design.** It is a new flat, round, top-down design face, made with image generation to match the live piece. The founder approved the redraw in principle on 2026-09-25 ("redo with build, one standard, high standard, GO"). **It is pending his final look before weaving.**

## How the face was made

- **Tool:** Postiz `generateImageTool`. It takes a text prompt only, so the live photo could **not** be passed as a reference image. (The Cursor GenerateImage tool was not available in this session.) The prompts describe the live design, and I compared each result by eye with the live photo.
- **Chosen:** 008-c (of 4: 008-a, -b, -c, -d). Round glowing core with radial rays, violet smoke ring, gold dust halo and stars, like the live piece. 008-a/-b had a sharp 8-point star core and puffy cartoon clouds; 008-d added a patterned border band (a new motif).
- **Prompt used:** "Flat top-down textile cartoon for a round hand-knotted silk carpet. One perfect circle touching all four edges of a square canvas, pure white outside the circle. On a solid black field: a round glowing white-gold core at the centre (a soft round glow, not a star shape), surrounded by a disc of fine golden filament rays like a dandelion burst, then a thick irregular ring of dusky deep violet and muted purple smoke with wispy streaked texture and golden edges, then a bright ring of gold dust and tiny gold sparks, then fine golden filament threads and scattered gold dots spreading across the black to the rim; thin gold rope rim. Big bang cosmic burst. Palette: black, dark umber, dusky violet, muted lavender, bronze, antique gold, bright gold, pale gold, white. Flat clean shapes, no cartoon clouds, no floor, no perspective, no shadow, no text, no watermark."
- **Output:** 1024×1024. Fitted the circle, warped it to a true circle filling a 2048 canvas (Lanczos), applied a light unsharp mask, and set everything outside the circle to white. No Real-ESRGAN (torch is not installed); the face is vectorised to flat colour anyway.

## Vector build (loom-ready)

- Face upscaled to 3000 px (2 px/mm), then an edge-preserving bilateral filter was applied.
- Every pixel was assigned to the nearest named yarn in Lab colour space, then cleaned with a majority filter.
- **Minimum area:** any colour patch under **9 knots (3×3 knots ≈ 38.7 mm²)** was merged into its neighbour, so every shape is knottable at 150 knots/in².
- Traced with vtracer in **spline** mode (smooth curves, no pixel stairs), speckle filter to match.
- 88 core rays re-detected from the face and redrawn as tapered Temple Gold polygons (4.0 mm at the base to 2.4 mm at the tip). The rope rim was rebuilt as clean geometry after re-centring on the rope: black band r 725–750 mm, Temple Gold rope r 728–743 mm, 268 Antique Gold twist strokes 3.2 mm wide.
- The SVG uses **only the named palette colours** (checked).
- **SVG:** 3.15 MB · **2734 shapes** (2378 paths, 0 ellipses, 88 polygons, 268 lines) · **12 colours**.

## Knot context (150 knots/in²)

1.5 m round = 59.1 in diameter, about 2,740 in², so **about 410,900 knots** and **about 723 knots across**. One knot is about 2.1 mm, and the 6000 render is about 8.3 px per knot.

## Palette (12 yarns)

"Share" is measured on the 6000 render inside the round. Knot counts are approximate (share × 410,900).

| Yarn | Hex | Share | ≈ Knots |
|---|---|---|---|
| Void Black | `#060707` | 50.5% | ~207,000 |
| Deep Umber | `#1E1512` | 7.6% | ~31,000 |
| Deep Violet | `#332243` | 6.3% | ~26,000 |
| Dark Bronze | `#43250D` | 3.7% | ~15,000 |
| Royal Violet | `#503B5F` | 7.7% | ~32,000 |
| Bronze Dust | `#6A3D17` | 2.8% | ~11,000 |
| Lavender Haze | `#725F83` | 4.1% | ~17,000 |
| Antique Gold | `#915C23` | 2.8% | ~11,000 |
| Old Gold | `#BA7F3B` | 1.7% | ~7,000 |
| Temple Gold | `#E0A443` | 6.5% | ~27,000 |
| Bright Gold | `#F4CA5C` | 4.8% | ~20,000 |
| Star Light | `#FAEB9A` | 1.7% | ~7,000 |

## Fidelity vs the live piece

- Same design idea as the live 008: white-gold core, gold rays, violet ring, gold dust, gold on black, gold rope rim.
- Differences: the live violet ring is a dense, lumpy cloud hugging the core with gold filaments running through it; the redraw has a thinner, more open smoke ring with a black gap around the core, and a separate distinct gold-dust ring. The live photo's dense spray of fine gold filaments toward the rim is now scattered gold dots.
- The violet yarns were shifted to the live piece's blue-violet (the generated face was mauve). Gold dust and stars below knot size were merged into dots at least 3×3 knots, so the sparkle is coarser than in the face.

- Source of truth for the look of the live piece: `public/designs/008-sit-4k.jpg` on the live site repo (chultemo-byte/hridaya-waitlist); not edited.
